About the Artist

Paloma Rocha (1992, Torreón, Mexico) is a contemporary visual artist whose practice explores the relationship between nature, matter, the unconscious, and the symbolic.

Rooted in automatism and intuitive processes, her work brings together abstract surrealism, painting, and wall sculpture to translate inner visions and observations of the natural world into organic, immersive forms.

Her practice moves between intimate works and large-scale pieces, often engaging with architecture through site-specific projects and commissions. Patterns, formations, textures, and the cyclical processes found in nature inform an evolving visual language that balances intuitive gesture with a strong attention to materiality and craftsmanship.

Primarily self-taught, Paloma has complemented her practice through studies in painting in Mexico and traditional artistic techniques in Italy. Her work has been exhibited in solo and group exhibitions and developed through collaborations with galleries, architects, interior designers, and collectors.

Paloma currently lives and works in San José del Cabo, Mexico.
