Mixed media on MDF.
100 × 100 cm each — 2025
CYCLES (Diptych) is a large-scale sculptural wall piece composed of two 100 × 100 cm panels that embody the natural rhythm of transformation. Part of the Orla series, the work explores the cyclical nature of life through contrasting yet complementary states: bloom and stillness.
One panel evokes the subtle emergence of wildflowers—soft, organic reliefs that suggest growth, expansion, and the quiet force of spring. The other presents bare, branching forms reminiscent of winter—structures stripped to their essence, holding memory, pause, and introspection. Both surfaces are rendered in white, allowing light and shadow to activate the texture and reveal movement through stillness.
Rooted in the observation of natural patterns, Cycles becomes a meditation on impermanence, regeneration, and balance. It reflects the continuous flow between opposing states—absence and presence, contraction and expansion—inviting a contemplative connection with the rhythms that shape both nature and inner life.
