Inspired by a lucid dream experience, Pulse is a contemporary abstract wall sculpture that explores the space between consciousness, nature, and the unseen. During the dream, a sheet of paper opened before me and revealed the words: “You are dreaming,” awakening a heightened awareness within the dream itself.
This original mixed media artwork oscillates between paper and organic form, combining sculptural folds, mineral textures, and natural sand to create a tactile surface that evokes veins, movement, and a quiet inner pulse. The piece reflects my ongoing exploration of organic abstraction, sensory perception, and the subtle rhythms found in nature and the unconscious.
The textured edges, shaped with natural sand and sculptural compounds, suggest both fragility and permanence, while the monochromatic palette enhances its meditative presence.
