“WONDER”, 2020
Mixed media on canvas
120 × 180 cm
“Wonder” is a large-scale abstract painting from the Translucencia series, exploring the nature of the mind and the imagery that emerges from the unconscious.
Layered colors, gestures, and ambiguous forms unfold across the canvas, allowing shapes to appear and dissolve without becoming fully defined. Figures, fragments, and archetypal forms seem to emerge intuitively, reflecting the fluid and associative nature of thought.
Rather than offering a fixed narrative, Wonder invites projection and interpretation. Each viewer may recognize something different within its forms, creating a space where perception, memory, imagination, and the unconscious intersect.
Created by Paloma Rocha for collectors, galleries, and contemporary interiors, Wonder combines expressive abstraction, layered color, and psychological depth in a composition that continues to reveal itself over time.
