You Are Dreaming is a contemporary wall sculpture quadriptych exploring the subtle threshold between dreaming and waking consciousness.
The work originated from a dream in which a sheet of paper unfolded to reveal the words “You are dreaming.” From this image, four sculptural pieces emerged—Pulse, Latency, Hypnagogic, and Revelation—each representing a different moment within the transition between unconscious and conscious perception.
Through folded, organic surfaces, mineral textures, sand, and subtle pearlescent finishes, the four pieces evoke fragile sheets of paper while simultaneously suggesting skin, membranes, and living forms. Together, they trace a progression from the first signal of awareness, through suspension and the hypnagogic state, toward the moment when something hidden within the dream becomes conscious.
Created by Paloma Rocha as a single mixed-media wall sculpture installation, You Are Dreaming brings together contemporary art, sculptural texture, and conceptual storytelling. Designed to be displayed as a complete quadriptych, the work creates a quiet yet immersive presence for collectors, galleries, and contemporary architectural interiors.
